How to plant Trees & Shrubs

To plant trees, shrubs or roses in open ground using Mr Muck’s organic horse manure compost, dig a hole at least double the size of the pot or root-ball.

Add a good thick layer of the manure into the hole then place the root-ball in the hole so that it is at least 3 inches lower than it was in the pot.

Replace the soil around it by hand while mixing in a good quantity of manure around the roots.

Finally, firm the soil around the root ball to ensure no air pockets remain and water well.

Continue watering on a regular basis until the plant or tree is established.
